Do you have any financial benefits for volunteers?

We provide financial support by offering ORCA cards for transportation assistance, recognizing achievements/milestone with gift cards, and fostering professional development. Your dedication is integral to our mission, and we’re committed to ensuring a rewarding volunteering experience for you.

What are the application requirements?

We will ask for your contact information, time preferences, and other information about you. You are required to have a COVID-19 vaccination, pass a criminal background check, and get fingerprints taken (if working in the school).

Do I have to be a specific religion to volunteer?

CRB is an equal opportunity employer. This means that we conduct hiring without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, age, sex, marital status, parental status, membership in any labor organization, political ideology, or disability of an otherwise qualified individual.

We firmly believe in the value of education and respect for all individuals. Our commitment to openness, equality, and non-indoctrination is unwavering. We prioritize creating a safe and respectful space for our students.

Do I have to be a U.S. citizen to volunteer?

No. We value the unique perspectives and contributions that individuals from diverse backgrounds bring to our mission, and we are excited to have you join us in making a positive impact in our community.

Is there an age requirement for volunteering?

We require an individual to be at least 18 to volunteer with us.

What qualifications/skills do I need to work with refugees?

We welcome a wide range of skills and backgrounds (you will specify in your application). While specific skills may vary depending on the role, compassion, empathy, and a willingness to learn are often the most important qualifications.

How long do volunteer opportunities last?

We ask for a commitment of 3 months, minimum. Opportunities can last as long as you are able to work with us.

Can I volunteer remotely or virtually?

Most of our position are in-person only but some opportunities can offer virtual work. We can discuss the options available based on your preferences and the current needs of our organization.
